On his third night living in the streets by himself, he trusted another homeless person to keep watch as he slept, and consequently lost his wallet and belongings. For an unknown reason, Tommy Marshall lost his family and lived alone. Little is known about Tommy's early life other than he was adopted by the Oliver family at a young age with nothing known about his biological family. Many years later, Tommy form his own family, he returned in Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel along with the other Legendary Rangers, helping the Ninja Steel Rangers against Lord Draven and his army of Robo Rangers. Tommy also returns in Power Rangers Super Megaforce, leading the Legendary Rangers to help the Mega Rangers fight against the Armada and the remnants of Emperor Mavro's thousands of X Borgs. He has also been labeled Turbo Red Ranger, as well as the Dino Thunder Black Ranger or Black Dino Thunder Ranger, a variation on his in-show label.
